It is really hard to pick out one player to be the MVP of the team thus far in the season. Many players have been stepping up big and doing what they need to do for us to win, which is why we find ourselves in first place.
Obviously Duncan and Pujols come to mind as they are both candidates for the NL's MVP with their offensive production, especially in Home Runs and OPS. Scott Rolen is also doing what he needs to do, being second in the league in runs batted in.
Chris Carpenter is also putting up great numbers to anchor the pitching staff, as he is top ten in wins, strike outs, and ERA...as well as first in complete games. Izzy is the best closer in the NL currently with no blown saves and sub 1 ERA.
It is hard to pick just one person to call just one person the MVP of the top team in baseball...
