Royals agree to the deal. It gets us younger with Niemann, Longoria, and Cantu, and gets us a little cheaper. We weren't sure if we would lose Jenning's salary after the year and with Niemann we won't need him anymore. Niemann will be a good #3 for us behind Felix and Pelfrey and ahead of Gavin Floyd. Cantu adds a lil pop that Orlando Hudson couldn't, though for now I'd rather have Hudson. But Cantu is 4 years younger and maybe he'll develop some more contact, power, and eye. Affeldt isn't bad for now and Longoria is a good 3Bman just like Teahen is, they just are different styled players.

I accept. I get some much needed BP help with Burgos and I like Teahen's all around game more than Longoria power. Niemann never really seemed to fit it and was headed back down to the Minors anyway. Jennings can step into the back end of my rotation and hopefully Hudson will score some runs for me.

p.s.- I would never trade Eva. She mine and the rest of you can keep your damn hands off of her!
