After a blockbuster deal that landed CF Vernon Wells with top pitching spec Homer Bailey in Seattle, Wells confirmed his minimal interest in returning after the season. Therefore after extensive trade deadline talks with reportedly the Tigers, Cubs, Red Sox and Dodgers, found it in the best interest to deal him to the Dodgers of the National League. Seattle also dealt RP Kiko Calero and 30yr old minor league 2B Bo Hart. In return Seattle brought in the new hot corner in 3B Wilson Betemit, future #2 starter Nick Adenhart, .300 hitting OF Jayson Werthas well as minor league pitching prospect and former first round pick Cabana whos 18.
Despite a near deal to Chicago and Boston, Dodgers became the obvious choice. We bring in potential all-stars in Betemit and Adenhart in the next two years. With a brutal rotation, hoping Adenhart, Bailey as well as John Danks and possibly Travis Chick will all be ready for the big leagues next season.
Seattle likes their future (rated 7th best farm team in the league) with Kenji Johima and Jeff Clement behind the plate, Konerko at 1st with studs Ian Kinsler (current 27 game hitting streak, 21 earlier in season) Yuniesky Betancourt and Wilson Betemit rounding out a tough infield. Also, have All-Star Jose Guillen patrolling the outfield.

Good article, but lack of length and no pictures brought it's score down.
