Right now, you have one of if not the best SP in the majors in Johan Santana. Rumors are circling that he may find his way to Boston. Any truth to these rumors?

Absolutely not. Johan hates his Clam Chowda and doesn't think he could handle Storrow Drive. We will shortly be working on moving some of our more expensive players in order to secure Johan in the long run. Any other questions?

Recentally you dealt Nathan, with that being done who will close for your Twins this season?

We believe that the youngsters Jesse Crain and Pat Neshek (pending edit) both have closer stuff, so for now Crain will make the transition with Neshek along with Juan Rincon and newly acquired Todd Coffey all able to close if needed. Any other questions?

How do you expect to stop the mighty Cleveland Indians, the Black Sox, the tough Detroit Tigers, and the pesky Kansas City Royals this season?

Two words. Johan Santana. Kidding aside, we do realize that we play in the best division in all of baseball. I think we've made great strides in improving our offense, which has not been very good in previous years. Carlos Guillen, Ryan Freel and Carlos Beltran are all dynamic offensive weapons that will make an impact on our offense immediately. We've also kept our pitching strong, with the young guns Bonser, Garza and Baker to compliment Santana and solid vet Sidney Ponson. Our bullpen will remain strong despite losing Joe Nathan with the addition of Todd Coffey. Coffey, along with Jesse Crain Pat Neshek and Juan Rincon will form one of the best backs to any bullpen in the league. So, all in all we feel like we have put together a very solid all around team. Anything else?

Do you think it's possible that starting the amt of young guys you are, it could come back to bite you with their inexperience? As the other teams in the AL Central have some more veteran type starters, do you think this could cause a problem for the Twins in 2007?

I think this a very serious issue that we do not take lightly. Fortunately, we have a few veterans in AAA or our bullpen (Ramon Ortiz, Pete Munro) that if needed can step in and make a few starts while the young guys develop. We also have other young pitchers not in the rotation, so hopefully enough of them will be good for our starting pitching to stay solid. Anything else?

Or maybe it's your team
There has been talk of Brandon Wood being more suited for third base rather then shortstop a la Troy Glaus. Where do the Twins expect to play him though?

While he's still in the minors, hes gonna play SS. When he gets to the big club, it is likely he will stay at short and Carlos Guillen will slide to third, due to his superior arm.

With Brandon Wood to build around, what do you plan to do this offseason to make your team a better contender?
