Well, we feel that right now we have a good core of veteran hitters to keep our offense steady. With guys like Freel, Dunn, Guillen and our MVP-Candidate Morneau our offense should be strong. We also have a solid bullpen core with Coffey, Neshek, and Crain. Our main goal this offseason will be to add a top of the rotation veteran starter to go along with Santana, Bonser and Garza. We may look to the FA market for a veteran or we may look to deal some of our younger players to pick up the arm we need.

3 points
Name the top 5 teams in the league and what you think their strengths and weaknesses are (It will be 5 points per team, maybe 6 points if you do a good job).

1. Red Sox-4 Aces and a solid offense, weakness would have to be the shaky OF
2. Indians-Good young rotation and a hell of an offense, weakness would be inexperience of rotation
3. Cardinals-Despite inactive GM, they won the WS with a great staff and good hitters around the IF, weakness would be the bullpen leading up to Izzy and the OF
4. Dodgers- Top 5 farm in baseball and still have a solid offense, pitching is shaky
5. Mets- Still have 3 aces even though OF is shot

Rumor had it that Johan Santana could have been en route to Boston. But, new rumors say he is not coming to the Bean. What happened in these negotiations? Was Boston's offer not good enough or did not meet your needs? Do you think you will ever deal Johan or is he just that untouchable?

He is that untouchable. We will be looking into signing him to a long-term extension this coming season.
Anything else?
