So far we havent received any offers that facinate us, a couple decent ones but nothing spectacular. Of course we're going to get equal or better value I mean really why would we agree to a deal sending an ace pitcher for less value?

how do you plan to replace the players you lost like Francisco Cordero, Geoff Jenkins, Jake Westbrook, and that superstar Trot Nixon ?

We have young outfielders such as Lubanski and Errcart coming up in the minors, but until then we want to sign a speedy or high contact OF such as Hunter or Wilson. With Cordero, he was an unseccesful closer for us last season and with morrow and cappellan still developing we didnt want to dish out lots of money for who would be our setup man. Westbrook and Nixon just didnt do anything for our team

3 points Who was your team's MVP this past season? And when do you plan to be able to compete in talent with the vaunted Kansas City Royals?

I must say that Ben Sheets was our MVP. While all of our young offensive players put up great numbers, with 4 players with 95+ hrs, and all our starting pitchers performing great, sheets played at a higher level. He was 4th in the league in ERA, 1st in WHIP, 4th in wins and 7th in strikeouts. He consistently shut down our opponents vaulting us to the wild card. We feel like we will be able to compete with any and all teams this coming season, with the continued progression of our young players and a cosistently dominat rotation we will be far better than last season

If you could choose a player in this league to build around, who would it be and why?

I would have to choose one of my own. Rickie Weeks. At just 24 years old last season, he belted 31 homeruns, drove in 103 runs while scoring 120, hit over 300 and stole an amazing 68 bases. That looks, to me, to be one heck of a well rounded player and at an age that young, only better times will come.

With the Astros recently adding players to their team that are good. What place do you see them coming in this upcoming season in the central???

Well, i see a tight race at the top between the cubs and my brewers. In my opinion, these are the two most complete teams, with easily the top two rotations in the division with high caliber offenses to balance that. I dont see the Cardinals repeating, or even getting into the playoffs this season, but a third place finish. Yes, the Astros have made some nice moves, but are now without the powerful Lance Berkman, which mainly landed them a middle reliever, and dont have a top of the line rotation. I picture them coming in fourth
