Coming in, you have a challenge ahead of you with Milwaukee, Chicago, and St. Louis already having a year ahead of you to build a quality team and a couple teams that some good talent in the Pirates and Reds probably behind you in terms of talent. What do you plan on doing in order to keep up with or even get ahead of the teams ahead in your division?

Well, really the astros are down in the dumps. First we are going to try to trade our top stars for draft picks and prospects. The gm before me really messed things up in terms of trading. Then we will look to draft a franchise player so we could build a team off of him. So basically we are looking for a 2-3 yr project in the run. But we will be able to compete and eventually take over the nl central for many years.

If you could build an all-National League team, what would such a team look like? Ie use starting rotation, lineup, defensive positions, bullpen, and if possible bench.

If I could create my own national league dream team that would be sweet. My starting rotation would be: 1. Jake Peavy Great Stamina Great Ratings clearly the best pitcher in the national league and maybe the whole league. 2. Rich Harden Young good ratings and good stamina. 3. Dontrelle Willis Young great stamina and amazing ratings. 4. Carlos Zambrano he is young durable and has great ratings 5. Matt Cain is young and will definitely be the best pitcher in the league by 26 years old. He has the whole package of a 23 yr. old starter probably even more.
LINE UP: 1. Rickie Weeks 2B Has the contact and speed to make a perfect leadoff hitter. 2. Michael Young SS Has decent contact and good gap plus a little power. An ideal 2 hitter. 3. Miguel Cabrera RF Has perfect contact and power for a 3 hitter. 4. Albert Pujols 1B What can I say his power is 111 and his contact is 95. 5. Brian McCann C Easily the best catcher int he National league and the best power catcher in the league. 6. Andre Ethier LF has the contact now and the potential power to be the next best outfielder. 7. Andrew McCutchen has a good arm and great fielding abilities plus good speed and good contact. 8. Aramis Ramirez 3B With his contact and power he would be the best number 8 hitter in the the league. 9. Pitcher.
Bullpen: MR: Juan Rincon Great Stuff and Great control is a Great combination. MR: Brandon League Is a good starter and was a reliever on Toronto anyway. MR: Joey Devine He has the whole package Control, Movement and Stuff. SU: Jonathan Broxton His stuff and velocity would give him a huge edge. SU: Jose Valverde His stuff alone is untouchable. And with his velocity he is invincible. C: Eric Gagne With his velocity and stuff he wouldn't blow many games and would get alot of holds.
Bench: Manny Rameriz Great Pinch hitting abilities. Wily Mo Pena Great power off the bench. Juan Pierre Great speed for pinch running or bunting Vernon Wells Absolutely kills right handed pitchers. Chone Figgins Good contact, gap, speed and can play 5 field positions. Akinori Iwamura He also has amazing power and would be a great PH.

Your team is definitely lacking in talent. How long do you think its going to take you to turn this team around and make them winners?

Well, we have a tough decision to make. Do we trade our future and win now, or do we trade our players for specs and picks. We are shopping around our specs and picks but no teams are really interested in them or the # 1 pick overall. So our organization is in a stalemate. But I think if we can sign a couple of free agents and get some other MLB ready players through trade, we could have a shot for the playoffs this year or next year.

You've clearly said that you wanted to make some moves. Yet, Berkman and Lee, two of your biggest players have not been moved yet. Why is this? Do you feel like your pushing the envelope to move them or are you more content with waiting it out and seeing what you can get?

We wanna move them a couple reasons why i havent is because i can't get in direct contact with the other manangers in the league. Also there has been trade talks about moving Berkman and Lee for another outfielder some where else........
